Gov. Dankwambo pledges support for Atiku

Following the development of Alhaji Abubakar Atiku as Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), one of the sprinters up amid the primaries, Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, has praised and sworn his help to him. 


Dankwambo announced his help for the gathering's presidential hopeful in 2019 races on Friday in his complimentary message, made accessible to newsmen in Abuja. 

As indicated by the representative who has been offered Gombe North Senatorial District ticket, God-willing, triumph will be conveyed to PDP in 2019 presidential decision.

Dankwambo, a previous Accountant-General of the league, lauded Atiku's firmness.

The senator, who hails from same geo-political zone (Northeast) with Atiku, surveyed 111 votes to come fifth in the acutely challenged gathering primaries in Porthacourt. 

Atiku surveyed 1,532 votes among 12 applicants to lead while Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state surveyed 693 votes to come next. 

Previous Vice-President Atiku would challenge for the main office with current President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

Alhaji Muhammad Ribadu, the previous Senatorial competitor, Gombe North Senatorial District under the PDP surrendered his appointment to Dankwambo on Thursday.
