Disrobed Nigerian Lawyer, Ugwuonye Sent To Prison In Abuja For Fabricating False Evidence

The Nation reports that a Chief Magistrates' Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja has requested the remand in jail guardianship of a stripped legal counselor, Mr. Ephraim Emeka Ugwuonye. 


He was remanded for manufacturing false proof and giving false data with the purpose to misdirect a community worker in the release of her obligation. 

Ugwuoke was summoned on a one-tally charge of harmful misrepresentation, criticism, giving false data with the expectation to misdirect a local official in the release of her obligation, manufacturing false proof, pantomime and prompting unsettling influence, in spite of and culpable under segments 393,342,148,158,132 and 114 of the Penal Code Law. 

The FIR peruses: ''That on October 16, around 4:30, following up on a tip-off, Ephraim Emeka Ugwuonye of 25, Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos was captured by analysts from the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, FCT Police Force Command, Abuja. 

"That on October 15, Ugwuonye distributed harmful and damaging dialects against the Nigeria Police Force on his Facebook page titled: 

Due Process Advocate, with the expectation to discourage police examiners from completing their jobs and creating bogus proof of the names of suspects in police detainment through recording and flowing same with purpose to coerce 

cash from people in general, prompt open unsettling influence against the Nigerian Police Force by mimicking to be a rehearsing legal advisor subsequent to being stripped by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. You subsequently submit the previously mentioned offense.'' 

After the respondent argued not liable to the charges read to him, his legal advisor, Mr. Ifeanyi Chukwu, asked the court to allow the respondent safeguard pending preliminary. 

In any case, police advise Mr. James Idachaba restricted the application to abandon the grounds of the state offense, saying the litigant had bounced safeguard a few times. 

Boss Magistrate Ahmed Ndajiwo, in the wake of tuning in to the two gatherings, deferred till October 25 for knowing about the safeguard application.
