A 20-year-old lady, Amina Hassan, on Tuesday, abject her father, Hassan Adamu, afore a Sharia Cloister at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over his abnegation to acquiesce her ally the man she loves.
The girl, who lives with her grandmother on Bashama road, Tudun Wada, Kaduna said through her advocate Ado Ali that she wants the cloister to adjustment her ancestor to ally her off to her heartthrob.
The complainant added that she had accomplished alliance age and would wish to achieve with the man she loves but her ancestor had banned his assent.
“We wish the cloister to adjustment her ancestor to ally her off to her heartthrob,” her advocate said in court.
He aswell prayed that if the ancestor abides adamant, the cloister should serve as the girl’s guardian and ally her off to the man she loves.
Ali said he had fabricated attempts to argue the ancestor to abate on his angle but to no avail.
According to the counsel, the ancestor is denial his blessings because the suitor has no attention for him.
The girl’s counsel, however, prayed the cloister to admission the two parties two weeks “to array things out and ability an agreement.”
The defendant’s counsel, Nasir Abdullahi, aswell agreed with the acquiescence of the case admonition for the cloister to accord them time to boldness the issue.
The Judge, Malam Dahiru Lawal, acclaimed that even admitting the ancestor had the appropriate to appraise his daughter’s suitors, he has no appropriate to force anyone on her.
He accordingly ordered the defendant’s advocate to present the ancestor in cloister on Oct. 29, for added hearing.
