"In the light of above, we might want to engage the overall population, particularly individuals from the press, to overlook false or unapproved data proposed to credit to the president any activity which isn't in accordance with his character.''
Gov. El-Rufai of Kaduna State had a week ago visited the Presidential Villa twice over political advancements in his state.
El-Rufai, who fervently restricted the choice of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) to clear Sen. Shehu Sani as the sole hopeful in the race for APC-Kaduna Central, said the destiny of the congressperson "lies in the hands of the gathering delegates in the state".
The national body of the APC on Sunday emphasized that Sani remains the gathering's senatorial possibility for Kaduna Central.
