2019 Presidency: I Did Not Endorse Atiku - Bishop Oyedepo Addresses Critics

While speaking at a Sunday church service in Canaan Land Ota, Ogun State, Bishop David Oyedepo, on Sunday, denied endorsing Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 presidential election.


Bishop Oyedepo said that the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic birthday party, PDP, invited him to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s residence for a peace parley. 

The President of the dwelling faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, stated: “I'm aware Winners are in every political celebration in Nigeria, however, I don’t belong to any celebration. I was best invited to make peace. I don’t force myself on human beings due to the fact I am too busy.” 

He explained that as an anointed mediator, he believed that the price of peace is cheaper than the price of war and that his involvement turned into only based on invitation, as he does no longer cross everywhere uninvited.

 I know how usually I cried over the killings in Nigeria. Some people claimed responsibility and not anything came about to them.
