Chloe Ayling’s ‘kidnapper’ told her everyone in town was a member of his ‘Black Death’ group of killers, her lawyer says - as a resident in the Italian village where she was captive says he saw them out walking together...
Chloe Ayling's alleged kidnapper told the 'terrified' model that everyone she saw was in the Black Death group as the pair held hands in Turin, her lawyer claims.
Francesco Pesce, who is representing the Brit model, spoke before the trial of suspect Lukas Herba and slammed 'clickbait' claims her alleged kidnapping was a 'stunt'.
Polish national Lukasz Herba has claimed the 20 year old glamour model agreed to be kidnapped as part of a publicity stunt to boost her career.
But her lawyer said the CCTV footage of the pair was misleading and Ayling was terrified.
He told The Times: 'She was terrified after Herba told her everyone they saw was a member of the group and would kill her if she didn't play nice.
'There was also an element of grooming mixed with the threats.
'In the video you can see her holding her other hand across her chest, as if protecting herself. This is not a loving couple.'
The CCTV footage has raised questions about the kidnap.
And in the tiny hamlet where the model was held for six days its only resident added to the mystery telling Mail Online he saw her out walking with her alleged kidnapper.
Speaking for the first time, the 80-year-old cast doubt on her claim that she was unable to escape as he said there would have been many people she could have alerted.
The only full time resident of the isolated hamlet of Borgial said there would have been at least a dozen other people in the village when she claimed she was held against her will by Lukasz Herba.
The house where Ayling was held captive is sandwiched between two other homes, which the resident who gave his name as Attilio, said would have been occupied.
He said he didn't believe Ayling could have been held against her will for almost a week without anyone noticing.
'They were together out walking, but not holding hands.
One was much older than the other. There are not many people round here and I remember them.'
Attilio said he also remembered seeing two cars outside the rented property – a Mercedes with a British registration plate and a Volvo with a Polish number plate.
'There were two men, but I did not see them together.
'What I do remember are the two cars with the different number plates from other countries.'
Police said Herba drove the Volvo while his brother Michal drove the Mercedes from the UK as part of the kidnap scheme to sell Aylng on the dark web as a sex slave.
