Here are some list of possible causes of late marraiges or simply put, delay in marriages.
Finance
This has been a major cause.
Not having enough finance can be a great determinant for some singles wo were once planning marraige. This occur mostly in men who are still struggling with their channels of income.
Inability to find the right date
This can affect any of the two party involve in marriage. When it seems the search for the right person is always proving abortive, there is always delay or even shift in the time one might have actually plan to wed. This might extend for long, far into months and years up until the search becomes productive.
Physical Beauty
Some men are moved by the physical beauty and will never marry even when the right lady surfaces. These can also occur in women who will want to date a guy with six packs. That tall handsome guy with a fresh haircut and a broad chest. The list goes on and on and on, it is actually endless.
Spiritual Beliefs
Everyone is affiliated to one belief or the other. Most of the time young people will want to wait for their prophet, Imam or their Pastor to pray for them on a particular name before they can go ahead with any marital arrangement. And at the end of the day if such prayer is made and the respected spiritual figure tells such person that the one they chose is not the right one, then delay might just automatically set in.
Family Disapproval
At times family members may have issues with another family and it might just be the family you thought of marrying from. Then you begin hearing some age-long story of how a fight ensues between your family and that of your proposed spouse’s family. You begin to hear stories of how this fight eventually led to a serious disagreement and all sorts. Then the big shock arrives, ‘we am sorry you can’t marry from that tribe’.
Religion Differences
When an individual is expecting to marry someone from his or her religion, and such person is not forthcoming he or she might just decide to wait more. In the course of waiting lots of choices might still pass and still may not be pleased.
In a similar way if carefully studied, most single individual will not marry early based on one dominant factor and that has been majorly choices. Our choice tend to rule most of our decisions and where marriage is concerned, choice seems to be the principal player. Maybe one of these days, there folks will begin to do some random choosing of spouse. But come to think of it, the result from this won’t be funny at all
