During the walk against domestic violence, Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi of Ile Ife, Nollywood actresses Mercy Aigbe, Tonto Dike, Annie Idibia and media personality Toke Makinwa expressed their concerns for the increasing rate of the menace, asking women to speak up.

Mercy Aigbe asked that women speak up unashamed and also told people to stop telling her to not speak about her experience.
