MORGUE WORKER FACE TRIAL FOR OFFERING TO SHOW ASTRONAUT,JOHN GLENN'S DEAD BODY

A mortuary employee at Dover Air Force Base disrespected the body of late astronaut John Glenn by offering others a view of the remains,
a report said on Friday.The Defense Department is investigating the incident which was called “clearly inappropriate and personally shocking,” in a document which was obtained by The Military Times.

Glenn, who was the first American to orbit the planet, died Dec 8 at the age of 95. The combat-decorated Marine was buried at Arlington National Cemetery on April 6.

While the body was being cared for by the Air Force, the mortuary’s branch chief William Zwicharowski “offered to allow the inspectors to view the deceased,” the source said.
