Newlyweds Pippa Middleton and James Matthews, who tied the knot
on May 20, were spotted
scaling the Sydney Harbour Bridge after spending the day criss-crossing the city as they kicked off the second leg of the luxury holiday. Photos show Pippa, 33, looking slightly uncertain as she edged along the walkways towards the summit (left and centre) with her husband, 41, following just feet behind (right). The couple (inset left today) started the first day of their Australian stay with a jog through the picturesque Botanical Gardens and later boarded a water taxi and sea plane to an exclusive riverfront restaurant for a three-hour lunch with friends. After dining on dishes including raw kangaroo, they returned to the Park Hyatt hotel, where they are thought to be staying in a sprawling suite costing AUD $19,000 (£11,000) a night.

A man who was passed the couple told Daily
Mail Australia Pippa was 'very happy and smiley' as she stepped on to
the water taxi.
'She and the husband
waited back a bit, they let a couple they were with who had a baby get
on the boat first, then they walked over separately,' he said. 'They
seemed very happy... that's my closest encounter with royalty.'
The
water taxi shuttled the couple to a seaplane, which the group took to
the exclusive Cottage Point Inn, an exclusive riverside restaurant on
the Hawkesbury River on the northern edge of Sydney.
A
representative from the seaplane company told Daily Mail Australia that
staff were surprised when the couple arrived for their flight because
they had booked under a different name.
Over three hours, the group enjoyed the
$140 (£81) per person degustation, with the seven course menu including
roasted squid, wild kingfish and Wagyu beef.
Raw kangaroo is also believed to have been on the menu.
Owner
Ally Olesen, who took over the fine-dining restaurant with her husband
Shane last year, said she was completely unaware the famous couple were
coming to lunch.
'We weren't even aware
they were coming until the last minute,' she told Daily Mail Australia.
'We had no idea they were coming. They just turned up.
'There are a lot of photographers around trying to get a picture, I don't know how she does it.
'No one recognised them or approached them for photos... (but) she seems nice, they were very friendly.'
She
added: 'It's so exciting that she's come here, she's so beautiful. It's
very exciting. We're surprised and flattered they chose us - we're very
lucky.'
However the Olesens are no
strangers to hosting VIP clientele. Jerry Seinfeld, Cameron Diaz and
Westfield chairman Frank Lowy have all dined at the former boat shed.
The newlyweds and their friends were caught up in a gust of wind and rain as they made their way back to the waiting sea plane.
At one point Pippa struggled with her very own Marilyn moment as her full skirt billowed in the wind.
The blushing newlywed giggled as she held her dress down in the breeze.
Pippa Middleton didn't disappoint on her
wedding day as she dressed to impress in a stunning white Giles Deacon
gown for her nuptials to the 41-year-old financier she began dating last
year.
The 33-year-old beamed with
happiness as she displayed her famous figure in the fitted guipure lace
gown by the British couturier, whose fans include Abbey Clancy and
Kendall Jenner.
After saying their vows
surrounded by their friends and family, the happy couple waved to the
crowds as they drove in a Jaguar E-Type from the Englefield estate to
the Middleton mansion for the evening reception in the 'portapalace'
they've constructed in their garden.
Pippa,
in a beautiful classic wedding dress with lace detail, was sporting a
shiny new ring on her left hand as her husband manoeuvred the car
through the crowded town centre. The long, glamorous veil had been
discarded, and the happy couple were squinting into the sharp spring
sun.
