Six feet height in a period of about SIX to EIGHT years is SLOW! VERY, VERY, SLOW!... I've had box elders reach OVER Six feet in ONE YEAR if I tend to it. There is another tree native to China which in ideal condition, in it's native environment; can get 90 foot in 5 years.
