Since her split from Ashley, former X Factor judge Cheryl has been married to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini from 2014 until 2016.

She then began dating One Direction's singer Liam Payne, with the pair welcoming son Bear together.

The two musicians announced their split last month after two and a half years together.

Jermaine revealed that he thinks Cheryl has struggled with her relationships since the end of her marriage to Ashley as she was “madly in love” with him.

Speaking on FUBAR Radio's Access All Areas, aired on 16 August, Jermaine said of Cheryl: “I think she’s still caught up over Ash.

"I think that [cheating] took a toll on her as a person as well.

"She was madly in love with Ashley and I think her relationships now after Ash, she’s sort of struggled [with]."

Jermaine also revealed that he got blamed for leaking stories about Ashley cheating on Cheryl, but he denies this.

He said: "Obviously Ash told me about it, and a certain someone else, and that friend was very close with Cheryl at the time, closer than I was.

"It was like well ‘it’s not going to be him’, and the last person they looked at was me."

Jermaine is a contestant on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, alongside other stars such as Ryan Thomas, Dan Osborne and Gabby Allen.
