Blue Ivy's Name Over Trademark Rights Still On????

An event-planning company with the same name as Beyoncé’s daughter has a clear message for the singer as she tries to trademark the moniker: Hold up.
The Blue Ivy company has submitted court documents in an effort to stop Beyoncé from getting ownership of the name "Blue Ivy Carter," which is the full name of the pop star’s child with Jay Z, TMZ reported.

The "Hold Up" singer had applied for the title earlier in 2017 in hopes of creating a brand featuring products like video games and beauty supplies, according to the gossip site.

But the Blue Ivy company reportedly contends in its legal filing that Beyoncé's motive for applying for the trademark is to simply make sure others aren't able to obtain the name, and not to market products themselves.

The company was founded three years before Jay Z and Beyoncé welcomed their daughter, now 5, in January 2012.

It's not the first time the Blue Ivy corporation has attempted to foil Beyoncé's trademarking aspirations. The "Sorry" singer was denied her effort to trademark the name Blue Ivy in 2012, with the court siding with the event company.
This time, Beyoncé reportedly hopes adding the child's name Carter would fly, but the company is still putting up a fight, as evidenced by its recent block attempt.
