Kano Dethrones Emir Sanusi II

The Kano State Government has reported the sacking of the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.

The data was made open by the Director-General, Media and Communications, Kano State Government, Salihu Yakasai on Monday on his official Twitter handle, @Dawisu.

"The Kano State Executive Council has collectively affirmed the deposing of the Emir of Kano Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II at a unique sitting held today by the gathering," he tweeted.

Sanusi rose the position of royalty in 2014, after the demise of his granduncle Ado Bayero. His granddad Muhammadu Sanusi I ruled from 1953 to 1963, when he was removed by Premier Ahmadu Bello. His dad Aminu Sanusi was Chiroma of Kano.

Before his promotion, Sanusi was a financial specialist and broker. He filled in as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2009 to 2014, when he was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan in the wake of raising the alert on the $20bn claimed to be missing.

Review that the emir is as of now in a fight with the senator Abdullahi Ganduje which began a year ago in the midst of claims that he bolstered the governorship competitor of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abba Kabir-Yusuf.

The ruler has since been under scrutiny for supposed debasement while his emirate was part into five to trim down his impact.

Subtleties later…
