The 2020 Batch A Stream One NYSC individuals showed up on camp on March 4 and are relied upon to leave on March 29.
The request was given by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, on Wednesday, who said the NYSC individuals would be discharged to continue at their places of essential task.
He tweeted that the conclusion was a prudent step on coronavirus.
"Today the nation over, the NYSC Orientation camps will be shut and Youth Corpers will be paid and sent to their places of essential task.
"This again is a prudent step with respect to the legislature to check the spread of COVID-19. The DG NYSC will give subtleties," he tweeted.
When reached on the phone, some NYSC individuals disclosed to The PUNCH that they were approached to pack their effects Tuesday evening.
Some of them said their organization letters were given to them early Wednesday morning.
