How 4 Kidnapped Catholic Priests Regained Freedom In Delta

Four Catholic priests who were abducted on Nov. 6 by unknown persons in Delta have regained their freedom, the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.



The Nigeria Police, Delta Command, affirmed on Saturday that the clerics were protected close Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state. 

As per the Police Commissioner , Muhammad Mustafa, the unfortunate casualties were protected on Friday evening at an area he didn't reveal. 

The exploited people were: Rev. Fathers Victor Adigboluja of the Ijebu Ode Diocese; Anthony Otegbola, Abeokuta Diocese; Joseph Ediae, Benin Archdiocese; and Emmanuel Obadjere, Warri Diocese. 

They were said to have been en route to the Seminary of All Saints Uhiele-Ekpoma in Edo on Nov. 6 when they were abducted. 

The police supervisor, who prior said that one of the suspects had been caught regarding the wrongdoing, likewise guaranteed that the police direction was trailing the others. 

He guaranteed that alternate suspects would be captured and indicted. 

"They were protected on Friday and we are on the trail of alternate suspects. 

" We don't energize emancipate, so no payoff was paid," Mustafa said. 

A dependable source disclosed to NAN that the ministers were taken to Benin City for therapeutic consideration instantly they recaptured their opportunity. 

As indicated by the source the clerics were escorted to Benin City by the joint police and military group that protected them. 

The captors had before requested for N4 million as payment to impact their discharge.
