Administrator of the board, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, said in a short message to a Punch journalist on Sunday that the board captured Uzodinma, the representative speaking to Imo West Senatorial District, for the disappointment of his organization to execute an agreement of $12m for the digging of Calabar channel.
As indicated by the board's director, the agreement was granted by the Nigerian Ports Authority.
Obono-Obla said Uzodinma had been dodging capture for about a year yet was captured at about 8.20pm at the Abuja airplane terminal.
The announcement perused, "tonight, at about 8.20pm, agents of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel For Recovery of Public Property at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport captured the APC governorship competitor in Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, in the wake of landing from an Air Peace P47324 departure from Lagos.
"The board is researching monetary harm against Senator Uzodinma emerging out of the disappointment of his organization to execute an agreement of $12m for the digging of Calabar channel granted by the NPA."
