NATIONAL TRADE FESTIVAL ABUJA

Trade Nigeria in partnership with Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja has released a plan to mark Nigeria’s diamond age in a 60-day celebration billed for 6 countries....

The event which is tagged ‘Nigeria @ 60 Cultural Exchange’ will be taking place in 6 Common Wealth Countries with the aim of celebrating Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage in those countries.
Scheduled for the United Kingdom, United States of America, Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong and Austria the plan is to have the event lick off on September 1, 2020 according to Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, the Executive Director of Trade Nigeria.
According to him, the event which is in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja, will go a long way to change the narrative in Nigeria.
“Our cultures are often tagged primitive by our people, hence we rarely appreciate what we have and who we have, but if we can make it an export commodity, we will not only come to love it, but people in other countries will come to embrace them as who we are and what we must be known for”, he said.
Buchi George hailed the contributions of the Office of the Secretary to Federal Government towards the event, adding that “such supports can help change everything”
“We want to set a standard, we want to celebrate Nigeria’s Diamond Age in a special way and also create a better relationship between Nigeria and these other countries.”
“The world deserves to see what Nigeria beyond today’s narratives; we can change all that only when we truly show the world who we are, what we have and what we are made of”
The chain of events to mark the celebration will be kicking off on September 1, 2019, ending 60 days later in October 30, 2019.
