Luiz demands the choice leave Chelsea was made before Arsenal announced their enthusiasm for him, regardless of just writing crisp terms in west London in May.
"I chose to leave Chelsea before there was contact with Arsenal," he disclosed to The Telegraph.
"Individuals don't have a clue about that yet I chose ahead of schedule to leave Chelsea. After that, I had contact with Arsenal and I took a choice which everyone knows was difficult.
"Me and Lampard, we had legitimate discussions. Man to man, me and him. His thoughts of football were distinctive to mine. We simply concurred: 'alright, we proceed onward'. In a legitimate manner, in a developed way.
"We played together, we won together. We won the Champions League, the Europa League, everything together. It was done in a developed way."
