The suspect was captured by a group of cops joined to the Paiko Division following a report by one Abubakar Adamu of Yidna town in Paiko.

In a meeting with our journalist, Mohammed who was brimming with laments over the episode said he had no aim of murdering his child, including that he was possibly attempting to address him when disaster struck.
"My child had not been straightforward with me on issues; I blew up with him and lost my temper when I was beating him. Shockingly, he kicked the bucket. I am extremely upset for what I did," he expressed.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, who affirmed the episode, said the suspect had been charged.
