Samson Siasia doesn’t thrill people only on football
matters. As a player he displayed tremendous skills with striking abilities,
going on record as one of the best forwards to have emerged from Nigeria...
And
now as a coach he has always shown the good stuff he is made of. However,
Siasia does not pack only football skills on the legs. He showed this last
weekend in Atlanta where his daughter, Sanita was given out in marriage. It was
an emotional moment for the ebony skinned Nigerian whose soccer team won
Nigeria’s only medal in the Rio Olympic Games. That was after the silver medal
he also won in Beijing Olympics. •Siasia walking the daughter to the altar The
excitement on the day his daughter married was tremendous and Siasia
demonstrated another skill that day. His dance steps amazed and thrilled all.
Sanita got married to her heart throb Jamell Barret from the State of Georgia,
USA. As soon as it was time for the traditional father/daughter dance, Siasia
stormed the dance floor, sliding in rhythmic moves to the admiration of the
audience. The young beautiful Sanita danced and giggled to encourage her father
to different dance styles. It was entertaining. The event took place in
Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday September 2, 2017 after the exchange of vows
between Sanita and her husband at the prestigious Johnson Ferry Baptist Church

former super Eagles player Siasia joyfully walked his admirable daughter down
the aisle and gave her away for marriage to the waiting hands of a happy young
man, Jamell. Siasia later told Saturday Vanguard that he felt so fulfilled and
thrilled with this great achievement of walking his daughter down the aisle for
marriage. “This is one thing every father looks forward to and I thank God for
this day to be able to walk my daughter down the aisle for marriage,” Siasia
enthused. He was very emotional about the traditional assignment of handing his
daughter over for marriage. In an emotional-laden voice, coach Siasia said, “I
still remember her growing up and just being my baby and now that she is
starting another great chapter of having her own family with Jamell, I give God
the glory and express my sincere gratitude to my better half Eunice, because
together, God has used us to raise a wonderful young woman.” The wedding
reception which took place at the Marriot Hotel in Atlanta, attracted a large
crowd including Siasia’s former team mates like Paul Okoku, Alphonsus Akhahon
and Aniete Effiong. Other former soccer players in attendance included, Ikem
Udeh, former Falcons goalkeeper Judith Chime and Bob Ubanwa. Daniel Abumere who
was personal assistant to coach Siasia came from Nigeria for the event.
