The 25-year-old model will represent her country in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant. She will aim to duplicate or even surpass her succesor Valeria Piazza’s Top 13 placement in the 65th Miss Universe held last January.
“I am too happy to represent my country. I feel that it has been a year of great growth and I am prepared to represent the beauty of Peruvian women in a contest as important as the Miss Universe,”Howard was quoted on Peru21.
Howard, the first runner-up in Miss Peru 2016, was appointed by Miss Peru organization led by Jessica Newton. She competed in Miss Grand International 2016 and finished in the Top 10.
