The Managing Director and Chief Executive Office of JAIZ bank, Hassan Usman, at the weekend disclosed that the bank has witnessed 300 percent increment since its establishment five years ago...
Hassan said this while speaking at a customer forum organized by the bank in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital where he noted that Islamic banking had gradually surpassed its challenges and now waxing stronger.
“When we started this journey of establishing a halal bank about 15 years ago, we knew that we are not going to have an absolutely perfect institution right from day one -because most of the infrastructures required for the smooth operation of an Islamic Bank were not on ground then (in deed some of the critical ones are still not available yet). We equally knew that the journey is going to be tough and tortuous. What kept us going are the commitment of our shareholders, resilience of the workforce and passion of existing customers.
