But when singing legend Dionne Warwick was asked by Susanna Reid about her own personal life - namely the death of her cousin Whitney Houston - things turned sour incredibly quickly.
Susanna started to say ‘your family has experienced tragedy, of course your cousin Whitney Houston…’ but the 72-year-old songstress wasn't having any of it.
We’re not going to discuss that, OK?' she said, waving her hand dismissively into the air and looking off camera at the producers.
'That’s a bygone conclusion.We’re not discussing that, we’re here to discuss Dot Com [the children's charity],' she said, defiantly.
Susanna's mention of Whitney - who died in February 2012 from drug abuse - was relevant in that a documentary of the singer’s life is soon being aired on television.
