Oyegun, after visiting some of the areas affected by
the disaster stated that the party would strive to cushion the effect
on those affected.
Represented by the National Deputy Chairman, South,
Chief Segun Oni, Oyegun said that the party leadership was in Benue to
show support to sympathise with the state and the flood victims.
“APC is packaging a relief programme that will
not only alleviate the sufferings of flood victims, but benefit the
entire Benue people.
“The relief programme will be in batches; the first batch will arrive this week.
“We must also begin to make sure that we use the
shore lands of these rivers as it is done in other parts of the world,
for the public good,” he said.
Oyegun said that what happened to the Benue people had affected the entire country, adding that the APC family was with them.
