To
celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s recovery after over 100 days in
London for medical vacation, his safe return to the country,...
Nigeria’s
exit from recession as well as the country’s 57th Independence
anniversary, Halleluyah Nigeria, in conjunction with all Nigerian
churches and Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship, will tomorrow kickoff
400 hours non-stop praise and worship to God.
Over 140 church choirs as well as gospel
artistes are expected at the event which kicks off September 14 at
8:00am and will end on October 1 at 12:00 am.
The event is a follow-up to last year’s
365 hours non-stop praise which was to mark the first anniversary of the
present administration and to seek God’s help for the administration
and the country to overcome the economic recession of the country.
Coordinator of the 400 hour program and
the Chaplain of Aso Rock Villa Chapel, Pastor Oluseyi Malomo, told
newsmen at a press conference to herald the event that the first 343
hours will hold at Sharon Ultimate Hotel, in Abuja while the last 57
hours will hold at the National Christian Centre to conclude the glory
event.
He said funds for the programme were
raised through voluntary donations from individuals and members of the
Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Malomo said: “It is only logical for us
to gather together and return our thanks and praise to this God who
responds and answers the heartfelt prayers of Nigerians.
“The Hallelujah Nigeria, in conjunction
with all churches and fellowships in Nigeria, is, therefore, organising
this exceptional and record breaking praise event to thank this good God
who has proven that He holds our nation dearest to His heart.
“The 400 hours non-stop praise event will
arguably be the longest non-stop musical activity in the world. It is
scheduled to commence at 8.00am on Thursday, September 14, 2017.”
Malomo added: “The spirit of appreciation
is the motive behind this event. We are taught, in all our cultures and
faith, the principle of thanksgiving, to show appreciation for good
deeds done to us. This is because appreciation enhances more benevolence
towards he who is appreciative.
“Let us all be appreciative to God who
has not just kept us together for these 57 years, but has blessed our
nation with such resources of enviable potentials of land, minerals as
well as great and resourceful people.
“With such attitude, our nation shall
continue to wax stronger, take her rightful place in the comity of
nations and shall soon become the toast of the world.”
