Four years ago Michaella McCollum was facing a very unglamorous stretch in prison - but it seems that the former convict is headed for a life on the small screen.
Famous for being one half of the Peru Two after trying to smuggle £1.5million worth of cocaine to Europe alongside accomplice Melissa Reid, it seems that McCollum is attempting to make herself known for other pursuits.
The 24-year-old, from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, was spotted leaving the BBC studios in London on Tuesday following a morning of meetings.
Representatives for McCollum told the MailOnline that McCollum had visited the studios today for 'meetings about upcoming projects'.
McCollum cut a sophisticated figure this morning, showcasing her svelte physique in a pair of cropped pink trousers and a printed blouse.
She added a chic denim bomber to her ensemble to keep out the September chill and slipped into a pair of smart court shoes as she prepared for her meetings.
Shielding herself from the unseasonable drizzle McCollum could be seen carrying a bright red umbrella as she exited the studios today.
She added a touch of high fashion in the form of an Yves Saint Laurent clutch bag and finished her look with an edgy choker.
The MailOnline has contacted the BBC for a comment.
A career on the small screen has been on the cards for the former model for several months following speculation as to whether she would appear in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
While the the blonde did not appear on the reality TV show she has been spotted filming what is rumoured to be a documentary about her life in previous months.
Last month McCollum was seen filming outside HMP Liverpool where she addressed the camera while speaking into the microphone.
The ex-convict has been living life to the full since returning from Peru, where she and her partner in crime Melissa Reid were jailed for drug smuggling in 2013.
McCollum, who was a nightclub hostess in her home country of Northern Ireland, has enjoyed a string of sun-soaked holidays in the months following her release.
But Reid's return to civilian life has been far more tame one.
She was spotted leaving an office in Glasgow in June, having landed a job working for a Citizen's Advice Bureau in the city.
