Prada new menswear collection is inspired by graphic novels. And there’s more to it than colorful illustrations on actually every piece from thin belts to jumpsuits. According to Miuccia Prada, the collection manifests an attempt to escape virtual reality.
It’s a tribute to the exquisite handwork of the painter who creates graphic novels. By the way both the ceilings and the walls of the show’s location were all decorated by hand, too. Prada does its best to emphasize the importance of real art in our entirely digital epoch.
The designer suggests that next spring men should turn their attention to jumpsuits and shorts, opt for high waistlines and feel free to pair their boots and sandals with socks.
Today, designers often go beyond season, so there’s no surprise that the new collection features some woolen coats, broad-striped sweaters and cardigans.
The accessories include thin bright-colored belts, waist packs and even men’s clutches. Obviously, Miuccia Prada loves taking risks!
