Real Madrid and Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has won his
fifth Ballon d'Or award. The superstar was also presented with special
Nike boots following the successful outing....
Ronaldo was given the award ahead of Lionel Messi and Neymar at a
ceremony in Paris on Thursday. In celebration of his latest achievement,
Nike presented him with the special Mercurial Superfly CR7 Quinto
Triunfo boots.
The predominantly gold boots feature CR7 on the heel counter and
include the years of his previous awards from 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016.
Ronaldo will wear the boots on the pitch with 1000 pairs available
later this month. After winning the prize, Ronaldo admitted he hopes his
battle with Lionel Messi will continue for years to come.
“I hope to play at this level for a few more years, I hope the battle with Messi continues, things happen for a reason,” he said.
