Yellow, which is not an easy color, turned up on the bodice of a striking red strapless gown and on another unexpected number featuring a delicately embroidered sash around the chest. On some of the lace pieces, there was a lone bow addition, a surprising touch that added a pop of pretty contrast.
Acra noted a vintage inspiration for Pre-Fall, and there were some embroidered, loose-fitting dresses with a 1920s feel. The winner here was a cocktail-to–red carpet look that combined a white bandeau top with a pair of sleek high-waisted black trousers. It felt modern but with an Old Hollywood glamour, and there is a good chance it will be requested by some rising starlet in the coming weeks.
