Danish designer Freya Dalsjø presented a collection that included deconstructed suits and shirtdresses, drapey silk blouses, and coats with exaggerated shoulders worn with DIY-like mules (pumps cut sloppily at the heel), all set to Céline Dion’s “I’m Your Lady...
” The music combined with the Christmas tree ornaments worn as earrings painted a picture of a woman as dolled-up object to a man; Dalsjø’s clothes in their bold, off-kilter silhouettes represented the resistance.

 Though Dalsjø’s intention with that message was admirable, her collection lacked refinement—the tailoring, however purposefully loose, was too ill fitting to merit any fashionable irony. Some of the more wearable pieces included a pretty lavender silk tunic dress and a sculptural brown leather trench with an off-the-shoulder collar, but in all, there probably could have been a bit more of Dion’s lady mixed in.
