An announcement marked by the order's Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Gambo Isah, on Tuesday in Katsina, cautioned that demise by hanging is the discipline for seizing, under Section 243 of the Katsina State Penal Code as altered.
"It has gone to the notification of the Katsina state Police Command that some deceitful individuals from people in general have contrived new strategies of calling or sending messages to some clueless individuals from the general population, (either companions, neighbors, or family members or associates and so on) that they are desperados or hijackers from the timberland, requesting that they pay payment or themselves or any individual from their families gambled being abducted.
To this end, the Katsina state Police Command wishes to completely caution that any individual or people captured regarding such offenses will be managed as per the arrangements of the law.
Individuals from the general population should take note of that "Demise by hanging" is the discipline for Kidnapping under Section 243 of the Katsina state Penal Code as altered.
Guardians are thus instructed to screen the exercises with respect to their wards as the law is no respecter of individual and any individual got will be made to confront the full rage of the law" the announcement peruses.
